The author also worked for a couple of law firms and as a Legal Researcher and Writer for a number of years.  WHO IS THE BOOK DESIGNED FOR?The book is designed for players, parents of young players, relatives / friends of a player, club coaches / officials, or anyone else who is helping a player develop his / her playing career to realise a dream of becoming a professional player. THE BENEFITS OF BUYING THE BOOKIt has been estimated that less than 1% of players playing organised football sign a contract with an English premier league club (English FA (Richard Allen), 'Football Talent Spotting: Are Clubs Getting It Wrong With Kids?', (2015)).
  While this statistic only relates to the English Premier League, it is clear that competition to become a professional footballer is very high. Therefore, leaving the decision about which academy to join to chance, or making a decision about an academy without at least carrying out research does not make sense to me.
